Disc Bocce: Equipment

Edit

Equipment

Edit

Player Discs

These are discs used in the sport of disc golf. The discs do not have to be PDGA approved discs, but it is highly recommended.

Edit

Bocce disc

While traditional 'ball' bocce nomenclature denotes the single thrown target ball as the 'palomino,' disc bocce nomenclature denotes the thrown target disc as the 'bocce' disc itself. It is recommended to use a 'fast-back' or 'Ultimate' style disc. Heavier weights are preferred, and it is recommended to use a target disc with a large enough inner diameter to be able to fit a single standard golf disc inside.

Equipment modification

Minor equipment modification is acceptable. When playing at night, it is acceptable to modify player discs or the bocce disc by taping a luminescent device (glow stick or LED light) to the top and/or bottom of said disc. Clear duct tape is recommended over clear packing tape in order to avoid 'flappers' or loss of the luminescent device.
