Prior to the start of a disc bocce round, several items must be predetermined to make the game play smoother.
Winning Score Determination: prior to the match, a winning score must be agreed upon by all competing players. Suggested winning score is from three (3) to five (5) points. Higher and/or lower scores are permissible, but may make the match last much shorter or much longer than expected.
Player disc selection: Each bocce player may use and carry one, and only one player disc during a match. If a player disc is determined to be lost, or irretrievable for any given reason
Gambling – Cost of play must be determined and agreed upon by all players prior to the game. Suggested amount ranges from $1 to $5 for a single round of bocce.
Other – If any rules, other than those stated as by the official disc bocce rules, are to be used in play, prior to the match they must be: 1) stated clearly 2) acknowledged as understood, and 3) agreed upon by a majority of players
